Book Review
I read this with my Mum and we took it in turns to read pages. It is about Plop and he is a baby barn owl. But he doesn't like the dark. He meets different people and a cat. They tell him how dark feels and how is can be fun. My favourite bit was when each character made up a funny name for Plop. It was really, really, really good.

Book Review
This book is about a girl called Sophie. Sophie grew up in a time when girls were expected to wear girls' clothes, not trousers. Sophie wore trousers. She tended to go on the roof of her house. Many people said she was orphaned in a shipwreck but Sophie believed her mother was still alive. Sophie went on a journey to find her mother and she met so e people called the rooftoppers. I liked this book because it was a brilliant adventure story.

My mum and dad read this book to me during the summer holidays. I liked this book, because at the end all the bad giants were caught. I liked that the BFG told the Queen to get the bad giants. I liked it when the BFG went 'whizzpopping'! When I'm older I want to read this book again by myself.

Book Review
I chose this book because the blurb on the back sounded funny and interesting. I did know about it because we had read it in class and i wanted to buy it and read at home because it was good. My favourite bit was at the end where all the animals stuck the carpet and furniture on the ceiling so the Twits had to live the rest of there life upside-down, until they disappeared into nothing. I also liked the bit where Mr Twit put a frog in Mrs Twit`s bed and she screamed. I learned never to trust someone you don`t know especially if they look like the Twits. I compared The Witches and The Twits together because the witch and the two twits are both strange, both books have a husband and wife and both stories have animals. I think Mr Twit made Mrs Twit`s walking stick longer to annoy her, get revenge and make her worry that she was shrinking. I think Mrs Twit was excited at the start because she thought Mr Twit was going to drink the glass eyeball.
Mrs Twits description:
Dirty
Hairy faced
Ugly
Scraggly hair
Long bumpy nose
Double chinned

Mr Twits description:
Dirty
Hairy faced
revolting tufts out of his nostrils and ear-holes
His beard grew in spikes that stuck out straight like the bristles of a nailbrush.

I liked it because they both kept annoying each other, but it did get a bit boring going on and on.

Book Review
This book is about a bell boy who meets an opera singer and her cat, Casper. She calls her cat the Prince of Cats because he walks like he rules, he is completely black and she has never seen a cat like him. It is set in a hotel and also on the Titanic. I loved this book because it was sad and very emotional but kept me interested through all the chapters. I would recommend this to people above the age of 7.

Book Review
'Dog Man - Brawl of the Wild' is a brilliant book and that is because it has a huge back story which I'm going to tell you. It is set in a world where evil cats wreak havoc on the innocent and sinister villains poison the souls of the meek. One cop and one police dog had what it took, to keep the peace. But then one tragic blunder changed their lives for ever. It was a bomb, "Hmm which wire should I cut, red or green?" asked officer Knight. "Grrr!" growled Greg the dog. but it was the wrong colour. And so Ka-Blooey. It was a tragic race to the hospital but the doctor had very sad news, officer Knights head was dying and Greg's body. But just when all seemed lost a shocking discovery was made. "Why don't we just sow them together?" said the Nurse. It was a tight surgery, it was an operation of success. And soon there was a new crime fighting sensation in town that had all. Dog Man now has 3 awesome allies, Sarah, Zuzu and of course Chief. He also has 1 sinister enemy, Petey the cat. But Petey's heart is beginning to change, because of one little kitten, Li'l Petey. Li'l Petey lives with Dog Man and their remarkable robot 80-HD. He is my favourite character, because he is so cool and warm-hearted. Most of the time they're a family but sometimes they're superheros named the super buddies.
My favourite bit in the book was when they fought a clay monster called Clay Motion Philly.
This book was brilliant to read and I would recommend it to every one.

Meet Zoe she's got a lot of things to be unhappy about...

For example her sweet mother died when she was 5. Now she is 11. Ever since her mother died her life was soppy. At least she had her dad and her little hamster Gingernut for company.
It is her first day at high school and she's having assembly. In the back of her head she's scared that Tina Trotts the local bully is going to spit into her hair. One night her father came back with a despicable woman. It was her stepmother. The horrible women had an addiction to prawn cocktail crisps. This book takes Zoe and her new best friend Armitage on an adventure to stop a guy who makes burgers.

My favourite part of it was when the stepmother got stuck in a rubbish tube because her bum was sticking out. The scariest bit was when the burger guy's glasses fell and it showed no eyes.

I would recommend this book to people who like sad, happy and scary stories.

Book Review
"Laura Marlin we are coming for you...
It was the last thing I saw before everything went black."

Laura Marlin is relaxing on the Australian coast when strange things start happening all around her. I really liked this book because it was full of secrets and it had bits where I could use my imagination. My favourite bit was when Laura dipped her feet into the supernatural creek and they glowed bright blue! I also liked the part when she was told that she was the 'feather foot' (special detective).
The scariest part was when she thought she saw a joker on the mirror in the girls bathroom.

I learnt from reading this book that some types of Hawk can cause forest fires in Australia, because they snatch up little twigs that are burning and drop them into the forest to make small animals come into the clearing... and then they eat them!

I'd recommend this book to all people who like thrillers.
