Year Group 5
A girl called Nikki Maxwell, has a little sister called Brianna. Brianna is really annoying because she comes up with weird things and the nags Nikki to do these things with her. Nikki has a Mummy and Daddy who live with her and of course her annoying sister. Nikki has two best friends called Chloe and Zoe and a crush who is called Brandon.
Nikki and Brandon go to the Cup Cakery and meet someone unexpectedly (someone who they didn't what to meet).
After visiting the Cup Cakery they go to Fuzzy Friends, an animal rescue centre. There they look after the animals which have been abandoned. Nikki and Brandon spot something! These somethings were abandoned and Nikki and Brandon needed to act fast otherwise they wouldn't survive without food and water.
Chloe and Zoe then join them. Nikki decided they needed more people so asked Chloe and Zoe to help. All of them needed to work together if they were going to keep the somethings alive. They thought and came up with a plan (well one of them did!) It needed all of them to work together if they wanted to save the animals. They had to look after them until a certain day! SUNDAY!
Nikki was in charge of somethings but the worst thing was it was school and she just found out something terrible! Her parents wouldn't allow any type of animal in the house after Brianna had the school fish to look after!
There was only one thing for it, that was to take the somethings to school!
I think the taking animals to school happened because:
1) There was no room at the rescue centre, Fuzzy Friends,
2) Nikki's Mummy didn't allow any pets in the house and
3) She had no other option.
To start with Nikki is feeling confident and happy because her frenemy has left school. In the middle of the story, Nikki is felling worried about the animals in school. At the close of the story, she is feeling terrible because she has to move schools.
I think Nikki went to Fuzzy Friends because Nikki and Brandon wanted to spend time with the animals and spent time with each other. Alone!
My favourite character is Chloe because she is funny.
This kind book is similar to the RSPCA books, which I have read because Fuzzy Friends is similar to the RSPCA, which takes care of animals.
I would recommend this book to all animal lovers, like me.
