Year Group 5
This is a brilliant book, it's full of great, endless stories. I liked how Jack had to be really close to his grandpa all the time and when grandpa escapes it's always Jack who worries the most. Every night Jack is with his grandpa he would always be told a story from when grandpa was in the RAF and he still thinks he's there now [but he's not.]
When Jack is with his grandpa [nearly everyday] his grandpa doesn't like being called 'Grandpa' he likes being called a RAF name, usually 'Wing Commander.' Grandpa gets up to lots of mischief and every time Jack is trying to help he is caught doing mischief as well.
When Jack's mum and dad had had enough of Grandpa escaping, they put him in a caring home where Grandpa [or shall I say Wing Commander] didn't belong.
Not long after Grandpa was sent to Twilight Towers [the caring home] Jack really wanted to see his Grandpa. After a few tries, Jack managed to get to his Grandpa. Jack quietly went "Spppp" to his Grandpa and fortunately he heard. When Grandpa got to Jack he had a long list for Jack to bring the next day so everyone could escape.
Anyway, I don't want to tell you too much but my favourite bit was was when everyone managed to escape from Twilight Towers.
Don't forget to read the epilogue for the FULL story!
